Jul. 2006 to Present: Self Employed Working for a local landlord keeping information on tenants, rents and outstanding property repairs. The databases are relationally structured and have lookup tables, forms, queries and reports. Tenants can be allocated to rooms, monthly outgoings summarised and rent collection sheets printed.
Oct. 1998 to May 2000: Ordnance Survey Recruited and led a team of contractors to assist the rollout of Windows 98 to over one thousand staff. The team were highly successful and were recruited with a cost saving of 44% from the allocated budget. Responsible for rationalisation of software in the organisation and keeping license records. Wrote Access 97 systems to log PC movements and to assist Internal Audit.
Aug. 1997 to Oct. 1998: Animated Systems Ltd. Worked on various projects including the publishing of a vegetarian guide to London and a marketing system for the London Institute, which runs the admin for several London Art Colleges.
Jan. 1997 to Jul. 1997: Xyratex Testing software for Xyratex, (formerly IBM). Supervising the implementation of test plans for software which checked hard disk drives. Created a skills database to track the monthly staff appraisals and to help managers allocate staff to projects.

Nov. 1987 to Oct. 1996: British Gas Activity Based Costing experience during outsourcing of five hundred IS staff. IS activities were recharged across the business units using a large Access database. It tracked physical assets as well as the complex lease and service contracts. Data entry was restricted by using look up tables to ensure that all new data conformed to the data integrity rules. Technical support provided for an expert system which used billing data to determine whether a particular debt should be written off or pursued by British Gas.
July 1986 to Sept. 1987: Southampton City Council Computing support in the Archaeology Section, assisting users of wordprocessors, spreadsheets and databases.
July 1979 to July 1986: Various positions, mainly clerical support, also doing landscape gardening.
